PURPOSE: A flow measurement apparatus for a bridge pier is provided to improve the accuracy of data by measuring the flow velocity of a uniform water level. CONSTITUTION: A flow measurement apparatus for a bridge pier comprises an upper bracket(2), a lower bracket(4), a protection frame(10), a drive motor(12), a float(18), and a controller. The upper and lower brackets are fixed to the side surface of a bridge pier. The top and bottom of the protection frame are closed by the upper and lower frames. A drive shaft(14) and a support shaft(16) are inserted into the protection frame. The drive motor is connected to the drive shaft to rotate the protection frame. The float is accepted inside the protection frame. A flow velocity measuring unit(20) is hung on the float. The controller calculates a signal from the flow velocity measuring unit and controls the drive motor.
