PROTECTION DEVICE OF SHELL STABILISER UNIT

FIELD: weapons and ammunition. ^ SUBSTANCE: protection device includes cylindrical tube with open front end and fitting for attachment of tube on shell. Tube on outer surface from front end to rear end is provided with concentric stiffeners. Rear tube wall is made in the form of detachable cover installed along outer tube surface after rear rib. Detachable cover is fixed on outer tube surface by means of quick-detachable lock through diametrically opposite catches provided on rear stiffener. Assembly for attachment of tube on outer shell surface is formed with stepped inserts with slots for stabiliser unit blades. Inserts are installed between end surface and front edge of housing of stabiliser unit so that attachment force of tube with lock of detachable cover and gasket is provided. Gasket is made from elastic material and installed between rear edge of shell and detachable cover. Gasket has inner surface regularly spaced relative to outer surface of tail piece of shell. On inner tube surface under front rib and on outer surface after rear rib there are annular grooves in which sealing rings are arranged. ^ EFFECT: higher protection reliability of shell stabiliser unit. ^ 4 dwg
