A method of controlling small cell base stations, comprises the steps of: identifying a presence of an active user equipment within an overlying cell; determining a set of small cell base stations provided within said overlying cell; providing a wake-up message to said set of small cell base stations within said overlying cell to cause said set of small cell base stations to transition from a sleeping state to at least one non-sleeping state. |
