The present application discloses a printable film comprising a polymeric film having opposite first and second major sides, the surface of the polymeric film on the first major side defining an ink receptive surface on one side of the printable film and the second major side having an adhesive layer, wherein the ink receptive surface is defined by an ink receptive layer comprising (a) a copolymer of an olefin and a hydrocarbon ester of an acrylic acid and (b) an inorganic filler and wherein the ink receptive layer is oriented only along its machine direction or is not oriented.
