In the present invention, there is disclosed a model (1) of a portion of a human respiration tract for investigating deposition of aerosol on inner walls of the model (1), said model comprising a branched inner cavity with an inlet opening (20) for aerosol admission and with a system of outlet openings (25) for aerosol discharge, and it consists of a system of mutually dismountable coupled segments (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) defining together said branched inner cavity. For manufacture of the model (1) there is first created a virtual model on a computer, which is then sectioned in the computer into a system of virtual segments, whereupon the data of these virtual segments is entered into an apparatus for rapid prototyping for producing individual segments (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) that are subsequently mutually coupled by means of connecting elements. |
