INORGANIC COMPOSITE FIBER HAVING PHOTOCATALYTIC ACTIVITY AND FILTER MADE THEREOF

PURPOSE: A photo-catalytic active inorganic composite fiber and a photo-catalytic active filter using the same are provided to improve a decomposing effect and be used with a support by improving flexibility. CONSTITUTION: Composite sol contains a silica precursor, a titania precursor, low-grade alkyl alcohol, and acid concentration controlling acid. Photo-catalytic active SiO_2-TiO_2 composite fiber is obtained by electro-spinning and thermally processing the composite sol. The silica precursor is tetraethyl ortho silicate. The titania precursor is titanium isopropoxide. The low-grade alkyl alcohol is isopropyl alcohol. The acid concentration controlling acid is hydrochloric acid. A photo-catalytic active filter is obtained by electro-spinning and thermally processing inorganic composite sol containing the silica precursor, the titania precursor, the low-grade alkyl alcohol, and the acid concentration controlling acid on a permeable substrate.
