PURPOSE: A process for preparing polyarylene sulfide is provided to prevent the corrosion of post-processing equipments by effectively lowering the content of iodine within polyarylene sulfide. CONSTITUTION: A process for preparing polyarylene sulfide comprises a step of polymerizing a reactant including diiodide aromatic compounds, sulfide compounds, and polymerization terminators represented by chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, X is a chemical bond, O, S, N, carbonyl or methylene; and R^1 ~ R^10 are independently hydrogen, hydroxyl group, C1 ~ 5 alkyl group or phenyl group. |
