PURPOSE: An electric motor and a cooling unit thereof are provided to improve durability by increasing the cooling performance of a driving unit. CONSTITUTION: In an electric motor and a cooling unit thereof, a body unit(10) comprises a hollow frame and a par of brackets(12) which are combined with the both ends of the frame. A drive unit(10) is installed inside the frame and generates torque. A cooling unit(20) cools down the heat from the drive unit. A first refrigerant path(40) is formed between the inner circumference and outer circumference of the frame and provides a path for a refrigerant A second refrigerant path(60) is formed between the inside and outside of the brackets, and is communicated with the first refrigerant path, and provides a path for a refrigerant cooling down the central shaft of the frame. |
