PURPOSE: A display substrate and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to prevent the malfunction due to static electricity. CONSTITUTION: A display substrate comprises a substrate including a peripheral area which covers a display area and the surrounding of the display area, a pixel electrode which is electrically connected with a gate line and a data line, and a dummy pattern unit(250) which includes a plurality of dummy electrodes(251) and a plurality of second dummy electrodes(257). The first and the second dummy electrodes are electrically floated.
