PURPOSE: A bi-directional display apparatus and touch point detection method are provided to automatically detect a touch point by comparing the value of current that is successively generated in a diode matrix. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting diode is arranged in a matrix. Multiplexers(310,320) are connected to the light emitting diode array. One or more multiplexers receive generation current by optical sensing from the LED array. A power supply unit(600) supplies the power to the light emitting diode. A control unit(500) controls power supply by connecting to the light emitting diode array.
