<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical biometrics authentication device and a mobile device which has user-friendly functions. <P>SOLUTION: A photoelectric converter has a plurality of receptors that have a quantum efficiency of 60% in a visible optical region and an infrared wavelength region and are regularly arranged to photograph images through light of multiple wavelength bands, wherein the photoelectric converter is provided at the center of a cellular phone. The biometrics authentication device acquires a finger vein pattern of the thumb of a hand that holds the cellular phone through a one-handed operation, and determines a focus point based on images in a plurality of wavelength bands to instruct a thumb position. Fake finger detection is prevented by pulse wave detection, a pulse wave is diagnosed, and a blood oxygen saturation is measured. The photoelectric converter is also used as a face proximity sensor and a backlight is turned off, and the posture of the cellular phone is detected through an acceleration sensor to prevent incorrect turning off during use of the backlight. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
