<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery, along with a method of manufacturing the same, capable of restraining deformation of an electrode assembly due to rise of internal pressure by restraining volume expansion at charge and discharge. <P>SOLUTION: The secondary battery, as well as method of manufacturing the same, includes a case with a first surface having formed irregularities ab, cb, ccb each of which includes a height h and a width w with a ratio of the height h of the irregularities ab, cb, ccb to its width w (h/w×100%) to be 2% to 50% when using the same unit system, a first electrode, a second electrode and a separator intercalated between the first electrode and the second electrode, and housed in the case 234. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
