<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and simply confirm the quality of workpieces without discarding the workpieces unnecessarily when changing the lots of workpieces and to correct the classification setting mode of the workpieces. <P>SOLUTION: The device 50 of measuring and classifying workpieces includes a transfer table 2 having workpiece housing holes 3 for holding workpieces W, a measuring section 7 for measuring the workpieces W, a discharging section 8 for discharging the workpieces W, and a housing container 14 that is connected with the discharging section 8 through a discharging tube 8a. A control section 9 drives and controls the discharging section 8 during normal operation, and it classifies workpieces W according to the predetermined classification on the basis of the measurement results of the measuring section 7 and discharges them to the side of the housing container 14 from the discharging section 8. The control section 9 also drives and controls a lot buffer 12b when changing lots, and it temporarily retains the workpieces W in the lot buffer 12b.
