<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original reading device configured in such a way that during ordinary usage, an original cover opens only to approximately 60 degrees, whereby even when the original cover is opened, the placed originals do not drop, and the original cover opens easily to approximately 90 degrees when maintenance is performed including repairs or the like in a case where a malfunction occurs in an original reading part. <P>SOLUTION: The original reading device includes the original cover 10B, an original reading device body 10A, and a cover attachment means 50 that attaches the original cover 10B to the original reading device body 10A in an openable and closeable manner. The cover attachment means 50 is constituted of a rod-shaped hinge portion 60 that is attached to the original cover 10B through an open-close mechanism portion 51, and a hinge guide portion 80 that is provided in the original reading device body 10A and through which the rod-shaped hinge portion 60 is inserted and held. A latch indentation 86 is provided in the hinge guide portion 80, the latch indentation 86 to latch a latch protrusion 63 provided at a lower portion of the rod-shaped hinge portion 60, in order to hold the rod-shaped hinge portion 60 in a state where it is pulled out by a predetermined distance from the hinge guide portion 80. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
