<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass plate whose surface is strengthened when the glass plate is produced to such an extent that the surface does not adversely affect the efficiency of processing treatment after glass forming and is not easily scratched, and to provide a method for producing the glass plate. <P>SOLUTION: The glass plate is produced by a down-draw method. The glass plate has a tensile stress layer formed in the inner part of the glass plate and compressive stress layers formed on both sides of the tensile stress layer. The compressive stress layers are each formed in a depth range of >10μm and≤50μm from the surface of the glass plate along the thickness direction of the glass plate, and the thickness of the compressive stress layer is less than 1/13 of the thickness of the glass plate. The absolute value of the stress value of the compressive stress layer is 4 MPa or less, and the absolute value of the stress value of the tensile stress layer is 0.4 MPa or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
