<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt device facilitating wearing and storing of a seat belt without hindering getting-on/off. <P>SOLUTION: This seat belt device 10 includes an airbag 11 provided in a lap part 32 of the seat belt 30, an air pump 12 connected to the airbag 11, a control device 14 for controlling air ON/OFF of the air pump 12, and a tilting device 13 for tilting the lap part 32 forward during air ON of the air pump 12 and returning the lap part 32 to a storage position during air OFF. By controlling air ON/OFF of the air pump 12 by the control device 14, rigidity and attitude of the lap part 32 with built-in airbag 11 can be controlled to optimum rigidity and attitude according to opening/closing of a door, seating on a seat, and wearing/removing of a buckle 37.
