IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device or the like capable of appropriately displaying an image which looks as if it penetrates a display part according to a position of an observer.

SOLUTION: An image acquisition part 110 acquires a scene image photographed by an external camera and an image for detection photographed by an internal camera, respectively. A detection part 120 detects the existence of the observer (such as a player) who observes a first display part on the basis of the acquired image for detection. A calculation part 130 calculate a visual line direction of the observer and a distance to the observer on the basis of a characteristic part of the face of the detected observer. An image processing part 140 processes the photographed scene image on the basis of a relation between the calculated visual line direction and an optical axis direction in the external camera and the calculated distance. Then, a display control part 150 displays the processed scene image on the first display part.
