PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device in which changes of chromaticity depending on the change of viewing angles are alleviated while alleviating chromaticity changes in case the light emitting region of the light emitting device is viewed from the front side. SOLUTION: The light emitting device is provided with a light emitting portion which emits light from one or more light emitting regions and a transmission portion which covers the light emitting portion and transmits the light emitted from one or more light emitting regions. The transmission portion is provided with a first region which, when viewed from a normal line direction of the light emitting face of the light emitting region, overlaps with one or more light emitting regions and a second region which is positioned at more outside than the first region in the transmission portion.
