PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sustained-release oral administration preparation which makes a phenylalanine compound represented by formula (1) or a medically-allowable salt of the same present in blood plasma for a long time. SOLUTION: The sustained-release oral administration preparation includes the phenylalanine compound represented by formula (1) or the medically-allowable salt of the same as an effective component and is in a form of a coating preparation which has a core portion containing the effective component. The core portion is coated with at least one water-soluble coating base selected from an acrylic acid derivative, a cellulose derivative, a vinyl derivative, a natural polymer and a saccharide group.
