The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for a bond auction. The present invention comprises a computer program and a network system in which an auction service adopting an open outcry format is optimized to a uniform-price auction for multi-units such as bonds or the like. The present invention updates and provides all participants, on a real-time basis, with the bid price (rate of profit, volume of bidding, and time of application) which has been currently registered, or with bidding status information including the last prior winning bid, simultaneously with the registration for bidding during auctioning. The present invention involves proceeding with an auction comprising two or more rounds, such that the auction ends when the last prior winning bid of the successful bid range determined in the first round is not changed by a new bid in the second round, or in the event the last prior winning bid is changed by the new bid, the auction is extended to another round. In this manner, the rounds are continued until the last prior winning bid is not changed. According to the present invention, all bidding information generated during auctioning can be clearly disclosed, and time restrictions for bid participation is relaxed to enable free and competitive bidding for bonds. |
