摘要 <p>Provided is an organic EL device which does not become faulty due to a particle. Provided is the organic EL device which comprises an electron injection layer having high electron injection efficiency. After a short-circuit prevention layer (24) is formed on a lower electrode layer (23), an organic EL layer (25) and an upper electrode layer (27) are formed on the surface thereof. The lower electrode layer (23) is covered with the short-circuit prevention layer (24), and therefore, when the organic EL layer (25) is formed while a particle (30) adheres onto the short-circuit prevention layer (24), in a portion (31) under the particle (30), the short-circuit prevention layer (24) is exposed and the upper electrode layer (27) formed on the organic EL layer (25) is not in contact with the lower electrode layer (23). Since the short-circuit prevention layer (24) is of high resistance and has conductivity, no short-circuit current flows to an obtained organic EL device (10), and light is normally emitted. When an electron injection layer produced from MoW or the like is provided in contact with an electron transport layer on the upper end of the organic EL layer (25), the light emission efficiency is improved.</p>
