PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file control program or the like that achieves control of operation of read/write to a file, allowing the control of the read/write without imposing an excessive load on arithmetic processing of a computer and without depending on hardware. SOLUTION: It is decided in an API whether a designated file is a file stored in a volatile memory to instructions to specify a file that is a target of the read/write of the file from an application program. When the designated file is a file stored in a nonvolatile secondary storage device, an OS is made to copy the file to the volatile memory, and a file descriptor is made to be generated to the copied file to restrict the later target of the read/write to the files stored in the volatile memory. Because can perform the writing into only the volatile memory wherein data are erased when power is cut off, coping with unauthorized bringing-out or falsification of the file becomes possible.
