PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem that details of the area and the shape of the opening of a discharge opening have to be checked because the area of the opening of the discharge opening provided in a discharge opening member and the shape of the discharge opening affect the amount of a droplet. SOLUTION: A liquid discharging head includes a discharge opening 3 and a dummy discharge opening 6. The discharge opening 3 is used for discharging liquid by the energy generated by an energy generating element 2. The dummy discharge opening 6 has the same shape as the discharge opening 3, but is not used for discharging the liquid.
