[Also in Group XXXVII] A panel 12 for mounting and electrically connecting circuit-breakers 14 having plug contacts 86, comprises a metal plate 16 and two terminal blocks 26 held on the plate by engagement of ribs 30 and shoulders 34 on the insulating base 28 of each block 26 with slots 24 and struck-up portions 22 of the plate 16, respectively (Fig. 3). A bus-bar 36 is screwed on to each of the bases 28 and line terminal connectors 42 formed at the ends of, and integral with, the bus-bar (Fig. 5) are housed in chambers 46, open on three sides, provided in each block 26 (Figs. 3 and 5). The contacts 86 of the circuit-breakers are, for example, of bronze, and each has two prongs 92, 96 lying in the same plane while a third, intermediate, prong 94 lies in a plane offset laterally from the first (Fig. 4). In order to mount a circuit-breaker on the panel, it is first tilted so that hooks 20 bent from the plate 16 engage recesses 80 in the circuit-breaker casing 78 (Fig. 4), and the contacts 86 then enter slots 74 in the bus-bar 36 and corresponding recesses 72A, 72B in the base 28 of the unit 26 (Fig. 6). A shoulder 112 formed on each of the outer prongs 92, 96 of the contact 86 limits the insertion of the contact. In another embodiment (Figs. 9 and 11) the bus-bar contacts comprise arms 114A, 114B integral with the bus-bar 36<1>, the lower ends 126 of the members being disposed in a recess 72 in the block 28 and urged apart by a spring 132. In this form, each circuit-breaker contact comprises one prong which is inserted between 114A and 118A or 114B and 118B; the members 118A, 118B pivoting about the end of the appropriate slot 120.
