摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology to perform switching so that the center point of an area of lighting timing is shifted farther behind, in the case of 3D display as compared with the case of 2D display, and reduces crosstalks of the left and light screens in a 3D display. <P>SOLUTION: The video display device includes a backlight; a signal processing means configured to process an input video signal and output an output video signal corresponding to the 2D display and the 3D display; a transmission type display panel configured to control transmission of light emitted from the backlight, according to the output video signal; a display switching means, configured to switch the lighting timing of the backlight between the 2D display and the 3D display, wherein the display switching means is configured to perform switching so that the center point of the area of the lighting timing is shifted farther behind for the case of the 3D display, as compared with the case of the 2D display. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
