摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing carbon nanotubes, which method uses an LB (Langmuir-Blodgett) method and controls the number of the carbon nanotubes per unit area to a desired value. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing carbon nanotubes, metallic microparticles 24 having surfaces modified with stearic acid are prepared as an LB film substance 22. As the metallic particles 24, an iron (Fe) nanocolloid having a particle diameter of about 5 nm is used. The LB film substance 22 is dropped onto the water surface of a trough 12, and as shown with a drawing 2, the LB film substance 22 is transcribed onto the retaining surface of a substrate 30. After a process of film formation by using the LB method is performed, the substrate 30 is arranged in a CVD apparatus 50. Calcination is performed with an electric furnace 52 in order to eliminate the stearic acid. A raw material gas of the carbon nanotubes is continuously flowed into a CVD apparatus 50 in order to cause the carbon nanotubes to grow. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
