<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing scallop shell powder, through utilizing scallop shells having been turned into an industrial waste to ameliorate the circumstances of the elderly caregiving activities having become as a social problem, and while cutting the consumption of petroleum as a raw material for plastics as composite materials for the plastics and keeping petroleum reserves, for serving as a help for coping with the environmental problems such as dealing with global warming-related problems. <P>SOLUTION: Different kinds of scallop shell powders are produced through making the best use of the respective characteristics of heating furnace and vacuum heat treatment furnace. Utilizing the thus produced scallop shell powder, bedding, pillows and bedsheets each having deodorizing, moisture-absorbing/releasing and antimicrobial functions are produced; and a composite material for producing rigid plastics is prepared. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
