PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic photocatalyst the production process of which can be simplified and to provide a p-n junction particle and a method for producing the p-n junction particle. SOLUTION: In the p-n junction particle, a p-type organic semiconductor nanoparticle 1, which consists essentially of a p-type organic semiconductor compound or obtained by agglomerating the p-type organic semiconductor compound alone, and an n-type organic semiconductor nanoparticle 2, which consists essentially of an n-type organic semiconductor compound or obtained by agglomerating the n-type organic semiconductor compound alone, forms a p-n junction plane so as to be associated with each other.
