<p>The fuel cell powered protective respirator is operated on the basis of electrolysis by fuel cells. The cells suck in the flowing water and fractionize it into oxygen and hydrogen. The hydrogen is derived again, where the oxygen is collected in an intermediate vessel and transferred into the breathing mask of the diver.
