The train has a piston cylinder unit with a hollow cylindrical housing (3) as a cylinder and a piston (4) axially guided into the housing and actuating a gas exchange valve (1). A front surface (8) of the piston and a base (7) of the piston cylinder unit limit a pressure chamber (9). A flow cross section is controlled by a ball retaining valve and limited by a sealing seat. An additional flow path is formed by a permanently opened throttle cross section interspersing the base. The base and the housing are combined into a single component. The train comprises an elastomeric sealing ring provided as a sealant between the piston and the housing.
