The machine (1) has a slip-ring rotor whose slip ring arrangement (8) is arranged on a B-side of the machine. A fan (9) i.e. radial fan, is arranged between the arrangement and the B-side of the machine. A common secondary cooler (11) cools cooling media of a primary cooling circuit (15) of the machine and a primary cooling circuit (12) of the arrangement. The secondary cooler is formed as an upper cooler e.g. air-water cooler. An external fan (10) is arranged in an axial extension of the secondary cooler.
