<p>Provided is a liquid crystal display panel which is capable of preventing a disturbance of an orientation of liquid crystal molecules due to formation of a liquid crystal orientation control projection and achieving a high quality display. The liquid crystal display panel has a pair of substrates and a liquid crystal layer which is provided between the pair of substrates. One of the pair of substrates is provided with a color layer (31), a light shielding layer (32), and a wall-shaped liquid crystal orientation control projection (21) which is projected toward the other substrate. The liquid crystal orientation control projection (21) includes a main projection (22) and an auxiliary projection (23a), which is lower than the main projection. The auxiliary projection (23a) is disposed on the color layer (31) along the boundary between the color layer (31) and the light shielding layer (32). The light shielding layer (32) is formed so that the width thereof is reduced in an area where the light shielding layer (32) and the auxiliary projection (23a) are adjacent to each other.</p> |
