PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal structure of a gasket, securing an interference for absorbing dimensional variation and surface waviness of a mating member and maintaining inexpensive and stable sealing performance without causing deformation of the mating member by suppressing reaction force of the gasket. SOLUTION: The seal structure includes a first annular recess 12 formed in a first member 10, a second annular recess 22 formed in a second member 20, and the gasket 30 held in the first recess and providing a seal between both members. The gasket includes a solid seal part 32 arranged in the first recess and held in the first recess, a seal lip 34 formed integrally with the solid seal part and extending at a slant to the press-contact direction, and a hollow seal part partitioning a sealed hollow part 38 continuing in the circumferential direction. The second recess is formed so that it contains all of the seal lip and a part of a circular-arc side wall part in a condition that the tip of the seal lip abuts against the bottom of the second recess and the second recess can contain the whole hollow seal part compressively deformed in a condition that both members are closely contacted.
