PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a problem that cold water is supplied due to stop of a hot water supply burner, even when a flame of a pilot burner is extinguished during hot water supply combustion. SOLUTION: A pilot burner adjacent to a hot water supply main burner is ignited, and combustion of the hot water supply main burner is performed by flame of the pilot burner. A flame detection control unit 6 intermittently performs flame detection by a flame rod electrode 4 at a flame detection set timing of every predetermined set interval while continuously detecting the heat of the flame by a thermocouple 44 after electromotive force of the thermocouple 44 disposed on the pilot burner reaches a set voltage or more after the ignition of the burner, and performs the flame detection by the flame rod electrode 4 even at a non-flame detection set timing, when the hot water supply main burner is burned when the electromotive force of the thermocouple 44 is lowered over a predetermined allowable range after it reaches the set voltage or more.
