PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image inspection system capable of being efficiently operated at a low cost. SOLUTION: The image inspection system has a processor 2 capable of transmitting image data of an inspection target to an external memory device 3 and an inspection device 4. The external memory device 3 is equipped with an image data memory 31 and an inspection result memory 32 for accumulating an inspection result and the inspection device 4 is equipped with an image data acquiring means 42 for acquiring image data from the external memory device 3 when the accumulation of the image data in the external memory device 3 is detected, a determination means 43 for determining the inspection result on the basis the acquired image data and reference image data being an inspection standard and a result transmission means 44 for transmitting the inspection result to the external memory device 3. The processor 2 is equipped with an image input means 21 for imaging the inspection target, an image processing means 22 for transmitting the acquired image data to the external memory device 3, a result acquiring means 24 for acquiring the inspection result from the external memory device 3 when the accumulation of the inspection result to the external memory device 3 is detected and an output means 25 for outputting the acquired inspection result.
