PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine hood for an automobile with light weight having high rigidity and capable of also reducing head part injuring of a pedestrian at a traffic accident. SOLUTION: A window part 16 opened to a central part of a panel outer peripheral member 12 comprising an aluminum plate is formed, whereas a plurality of angle members 14 made of an iron plate in which a cross section is made to a hat shape and a corner angle:θof a projection part of the hat shape and R of a corner of the projection part is 95°≤θ≤135°and R≤8 mm respectively are arranged in parallel to each other in the form that it lays over the window part 16 such that the projection part becomes an engine side and a longitudinal direction of the angle member 14 becomes a direction approximately parallel to a traveling direction. Further, by using an inner panel 10 constituted by joining the panel outer peripheral member 12 and the angle member 14 by an adhesive 20, the engine hood for the automobile is constituted.
