PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active type vibration noise control system capable of automatically deciding an abnormality of silencing performance of an active type vibration noise control device for reducing vibration noise generated in a vehicle. SOLUTION: A fault diagnostic device 50 of this active type vibration noise control system 12 decides the abnormality of the silencing performance of the first active type vibration noise control device 66 by outputting reference sound RS for evaluating the silencing performance of the first active type vibration noise control device 66 by a second output part 32 and canceling the reference sound RS by first vibration sound based on first canceling sound CS or first canceling vibration by operating the first active type vibration noise control device 66.
