The present invention relates to a cross-linked tetra-aza macrocyclic compound which has a novel structure and which can be used as a contrast agent for diagnostic images, radiopharmaceuticals, and the like, and relates to a method for preparing same. As compared to conventional cross-linked tetra-aza macrocyclic compounds, the tetra-aza macrocyclic compound of the present invention is advantageous in that the compound of the present invention forms a stable metal complex at a lower temperature and can be easily conjugated with biologically active materials and chemically active materials.
