The part has a wheel body (3) surrounded by a wheel rim (1) and comprising a non-circular portion in an axial region. A portion of the wheel rim is connected with the wheel body. An axial locking device for locking axial relative movements of the wheel rim against the wheel body is arranged axially and/or behind the axial region. The non-circular portion is formed as hypotrochoid, epitrochoid or derivative of polygon. The wheel rim is pressed on the wheel body. The wheel rim is manufactured from bronze, and the wheel body is manufactured from steel or cast steel. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a gearing part.
