PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate network connection setting by to a simple algorithm. SOLUTION: A connection setting apparatus for establishing connection with an external network includes: a connecting meas connectable with a USB connector provided at a data communication card that is used to establish communication with the external network; a storage means to make identification information for identifying a carrier and a mobile communication network corresponding to the data communication associated with the content of a connection setting corresponding to the carrier and the mobile communication network; an acquisition means to obtain the identification information of the data communication card from the data communication card connected to the connector; and a setting means to specify the content of a connection setting associated with the obtained identification information and configure connection setting based on the content.
