The invention relates to a gas generator including an outer wall (1) delimiting a first chamber (2), source of gas and a second chamber (3) for diffusing gas outwards between which is found a nozzle (4) including a first through-hole (40) for letting through gas from the first chamber to the second chamber, the first hole (40) being closed by a cap (6) capable of being opened from the triggering of an electro-pyrotechnic device (7) located towards the first chamber (2), the second diffusion chamber (3) including in the wall (1) at least one second through-hole (5) for letting through gas outwards. According to the invention, the outer wall (1) includes at least one overmoulded plastic material around a portion (41, 42) of the metal nozzle (4).
