PURPOSE: A food preservative and a producing method thereof are provided to prevent the change of the taste and the flavor of food by alcoholic components generated from an alcohol carrier. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of a food preservative comprises the following steps: producing an alcohol carrier by mixing 40wt% of porous silica with 60wt% of aqueous solution containing ethyl alcohol and salt water; inserting 50wt% of oxygen absorber(104) and 50wt% of alcohol carrier(102) into an air-permeable package; and inserting the package into a food container before sealing. The oxygen absorber contains 70wt% of iron powder with the particle size of 90meshes, and 30wt% of calcium chloride aqueous solution.
