<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas treatment apparatus which can prevent or control formation of scale, thus eliminate the possibility of clogging of circulation piping by scale and ensure stable operation even when utilizing treated water of wastewater, e.g., sewage, and allow use of such treated water without troubles, instead of using e.g., industrial or well water, and economical treatment of exhaust gas and a method of operating the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus includes a monitor means for monitoring the concentration of phosphorus in treated water to be replenished to an exhaust gas treatment column as replenished water and is configured so that, when the concentration of phosphorus is≥3 mg/L, the pH is adjusted to 6.4-6.6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
