<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder capable of preventing a malfunction of retreat of a pressing body with space-saving simple constitution with a small number of components without impairing the setting property of a recording medium even in the case of adopting an end fence having the pressing body, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The end fence 30 provided at a paper feeding cassette 20 includes an end fence body 31; the pressing body 33 mounted to the end fence body 31 turnably between an energizing position to energize the recording medium, and a retreat position to retreat to the end fence body 31 side; a compression spring 34 energizing the pressing body 33 in a paper feeding direction; and a pressing body position switching member 35. When the paper feeding cassette 20 is pulled out of a body case, the pressing body position switching member 35 turns the pressing body 33 into the retreat position against the energizing force of the compression spring 34, and when the paper feeding cassette 20 is inserted, the pressing body position switching member 35 turns the pressing body 33 into the energizing position from the retreat position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
