PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disconnection detection device capable of testing a radio tag reader without performing actual operation or even when a noise source exists in the periphery. SOLUTION: This disconnection detection device for a radio communication device having a frame type antenna includes: a first capacity forming a resonance circuit when being connected to the frame type antenna; a second capacity having a capacity value different from the first capacity; a selection part for selecting the first or second capacity, and connecting it to the frame type antenna; a measuring part for applying a transmission signal of a carrier wave frequency of the radio communication device after selection by the selection part, and after connection the first or second capacity to the frame type antenna, and measuring each voltage value generated in a reception circuit; and a disconnection detection part for determining whether disconnection occurs in a circuit formed by the frame type antenna and the first capacity, based on a difference between a voltage value when connecting the first capacity and a voltage value when connecting the second capacity.
