<p>Three basic typeface data (8) comprising a basic typeface character (11) having vertical line thickness and horizontal line thickness which relate to lines constituting a character are defined as thin-vertical thin-horizontal typeface data (8a), thick-vertical thin-horizontal typeface data (8b) and thick-vertical thick-horizontal typeface data (8d). A storage unit (7) stores the thin-vertical thin-horizontal typeface data (8a), thick-vertical thin-horizontal typeface data (8b) and thick-vertical thick-horizontal typeface data (8d) which have vertical line thickness data and horizontal line thickness data different from one another in the thickness such that in a virtual characteristic coordinate plane (V) composed from vertical line thicknesses and horizontal line thicknesses, connecting coordinate points A, B, D represented by the vertical thickness and horizontal thickness of each basic typeface (8) by a straight line will form a triangle. An input of a ratio of the vertical line thickness and a ratio of the horizontal line thickness is received, and a specified thickness typeface data (M3) of specified thickness is created using all of the basic typeface data (8) stored in the storage unit (7), on the basis of the thickness ratios inputted for each line.</p> |
