<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: when a plurality of main images are sequentially displayed, and there are faces of a plurality of persons on the main images and a sub-image overlaps any of the faces of the plurality of persons, there is a possibility that the sub-image overlaps an important person who is not desired to be hidden. <P>SOLUTION: The image display device includes: a face area detecting unit 53 for detecting the face area of a person from each of the plurality of main images; a face importance determination unit 56 for determining the importance degree in the respective main images about the face area detected from the respective main images; and a display position-setting unit 57 for setting a display position which is common to each main image, to the sub-image, on the basis of the importance degree of the face area in the respective main images. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
