<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bend a staple approximately at right angles, and to smoothly and securely return a forming plate. <P>SOLUTION: In the medical stapler, a center opening 13 for housing a compression spring 15 for return is formed in the forming plate 8, and a shaping groove 21 is formed in the lower part of the forming plate 8. The upper part of a spring receiving top 14 for receiving the upper end of the compression spring 15 is pressed by an operation lever 2 rotatably attached to a stapler body 1 to extrude the forming plate 8 downward, and both sides of a staple placed on an anvil 11 are bent within the shaping groove 21 in the forming plate 8 to shape the staple. The upper edge of the center opening 13 formed at the center of the forming plate 8 is divided into right and left sections 17a and 17b, and a weak part 24 is formed in the lower edge 22 between the center opening 13 and the shaping groove 21 to connect leg pieces 20 on both sides. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
