<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving device, capable of reproducing from an intra-coded picture in the middle of coding data, and reproducing an intra-coded picture or thereafter without any errors even if the errors occur in stream. <P>SOLUTION: The receiving device includes a decoding unit. The decoding unit selects a decoding reference picture from at least one of a reference picture and a decoded picture decoded after the reference picture to a coding picture decoded after the reference picture, and prohibits selection of the decoded picture decoded before the reference picture as the decoding reference picture. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
