<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device having a narrower frame and preventing leakage of light in a surrounding portion, in which a UV-curing resin can be cured without fail, in a manufacturing step by an ODF (one-drop-fill) method. <P>SOLUTION: A narrower frame is obtained, by forming a metal wiring line 120 at a position, in a frame portion of a display panel of the display device, the position overlapping an area where a sealing material 190 comprising a UV-curing resin is applied. A BM (black matrix) 160 for preventing leakage of light is formed on a CF-side substrate 150, however, the BM is not formed at an end portion. Consequently, in a manufacturing step, the sealing material 190 can be cured through irradiation with a UV light through the CF side substrate 150. After curing the sealing material 190, a transparent plate 200 constituted of, for example, reinforced glass provided with a decorative frame 210 being laminated, to make the strength of the display panel increase, while preventing leakage of light, at an end of the display panel where the BM 160 is not formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
